ITINERARY

Arrival at the airport in Siem Reap, Cattours’ representative will pick you up then take you to the hotel in city center. The check-in is available at 2 pm. The rest of the day is free for your own relaxation and exploration.

After breakfast at hotel, our guide and driver pick you up. We will start a day trip with a visit of the South Gate of Angkor Thom. You will be greeted by fascinating giant faces wearing slew of expressions – smiling, serene, serious, angry, scary, etc…. Our next stop is the Bayon Temple, which is built in the late 12th century and the Baphoun Temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, Ta Prohm, the Terrace of Elephants, the Terrace of the Leper King and Phimean Akas known as "Heavenly Palace". 

In the afternoon, we will visit "Angkor Wat", the world's largest religious building. Angkor Wat – built by Suryavarman II (r 1112–52) – is the earthly representation of Mt Meru, the Mt Olympus of the Hindu faith and the abode of ancient gods. It now is the heart and soul of Cambodia.

Our day trip will be perfectly wrapped up by a visit to Pre Rub Hill Temple and admire the sunset from the top of the hill.

Our guide and driver then take you back to hotel in Siem Reap for overnight.

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel before being picked up by our guide and driver. Our first destination today is visiting Kbal Spean also known as “The river of a Thousand Lingas”. Kbal Spean is an intricately carved riverbed deep in the foothills of the Cambodian jungle. We will take a forest walk and then return to Siem Reap for lunch. 

In the afternoon, we continue to Banteay Srei which means "The Citadel of Women". It is said that it must have been built by a woman, as the elaborate carvings are supposedly too fine for the hand of a man.

Banteay Srei is one of the few temples around Angkor to be commissioned not by a king but by a brahman. It is a masterpiece of Khmer art with intricate, pink sandstone construction and ornate design. On the way back to Siem Reap, we will visit Srah Srang, "The Royal Bath" and Banteay Kdei, a richly decorated Buddhist temple. 

End up our trip with a delicious dinner while enjoying a special Aspara dance show, a traditional Cambodian dance performance inspired by the apsara carvings and sculptures of Angkor.

Get back to hotel by our private car. Overnight in Siem Reap.

In the morning, take a boat trip to explore Tonle Sap lake- the largest fresh water in South East Asia. There are more than three million of population inhabited around the bank of the Lake and 90% of them earn a living by catching fish and making agricultures. 1 to 2 hours cruising will bring you closer to the floating villages.

Then transfer to the airport for your flight to Luang Prabang.

Upon arrival at the Luang Prabang airport, Cattour representative will pick you up then take you to your hotel.

After breakfast, we will visit Royal Palace Museum, the last Palace of Laotian Royalty which was built in 1904 during the French colonial era. We then embark on a leisure cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside, before reaching the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two famous caves in the limestone cliff crammed with myriad Buddha images.  En-route, we stop at Ban Xanghai village, where they make the local rice wine. 

In the afternoon, we get back to the city. Our next stop is Wat Xiengthong, one of Laos most beautiful and richly decorated temples that show a sweeping two-tiered roof and ornate mosaics including a beautiful ‘tree of life ‘glass montage on the rear temple wall.  After that, we will visit the Traditional Art and Ethnology Center (closed on Monday) to explore

Laos’ ethnic cultures. We then drive to visit Wat Prabath to admire the sunset. 

Our tour will be perfectly wrapped up with a visit to the Night Market, where you could find handmade textiles made by local and hilltribe people surrounding Luang Prabang.

Wake up as the sun rises, we will prepare to join a longstanding tradition in Laos Buddhist culture - the daily morning alms giving (also known as Sai Bat), which dates to the 14th century. Buddhist monks depart from various temples to gather their daily meal from the faithful residents sitting quietly on the streets. We will observe the ritual in silence and contribute an offering only if it is meaning for you and can do so respectfully.

After breakfast at the hotel, we ascend the 329 steps to the top of Phousi Hill for a fascinating view to the city and the Mekong River. 

We then visit the Buffalo Dairy Farm, which is the first of its kind in Laos. The farm helps Lao farmer have benefits of the dairy products from their buffaloes, that they cannot imagine before. 

Take a scenic ride passing rice paddies, local villages and green hills to the beautiful Kuang Si waterfalls, the biggest in the Luang Prabang area with three tiers leading to a 50-metre drop into spectacular azure pools before flowing downstream. The pools also make great swimming holes and are very popular with both tourists and locals. 

You have the rest of the afternoon to refresh with the cool clear water, or hiking to the top of the waterfalls.

You also have a chance to walk to the nearby village - Ban Thapene, and explore the hidden waterfalls, which is rarely visited by other tourists

If you wish, we will also take a short visit to the Bear Rescue Center, which houses a number of Asiatic black bears rescued from the hands of poachers and traffickers live in an enclosure with lots of trees, swings and other things to play with.

On the way back to Luang Prabang, we will take a short visit to the Ock Pop Tock Living Craft Center, where weavers, spinners and batik makers produce top-quality fabrics.

This is also one of the best spots to admire the sunset in Luang Prabang

Get back to your hotel in the late afternoon. Overnight in Luang Prabang

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel. You are free until being transferred to the airport for your flight to Hanoi.

Upon arrive our guide and driver will be waiting for you at the airport and ready to transfer you to hotel for check in. The rest of the day is free for your own relaxation and exploration.

Our guide and driver will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel at 08:30am. Starting the day trip will be a visit of the Ho Chi Minh Complex, which compromises Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum (closed on Mondays & Fridays), his stilt house, the Presidential Palace and Ho Chi Minh Museum. After that, we will visit the Temple of Literature, which served as the first Royal National University in Vietnam. The site also honors 82 Vietnamese doctorates who passed a number of rigid exams in the feudal ages. Their names, birthdays and birthplaces are engraved in 82 headstones perched on stone tortoises. It is believed that touching the heads of these tortoises will bring luck for exam. 

In the afternoon, we will visit Hoa Lo prison, ironically nicknamed the ‘Hanoi Hilton’ by US prisoners of war (POWs) during the American War. We will then go back to the Old

Quarter for a walking tour, to explore deeper the local life of Hanoians . We then head to Ngoc Son Temple set on a island in the middle of Hoan Kiem Lake. In local people’s eyes, the lake is the picturesque heart of Hanoi.

After breakfast depart to Ha Long Bay, passing a peaceful countryside typical of Red River Delta with rice fields and winding rivers. We will arrive at Halong’s tourist wharf around noon and embark an elegant wooden junk. 

12:15 – 12:45 Embark on Starlight Cruise by transfer boat. Listen to cruise briefing and receive room key.

13:00 – 15:30 Savor a delectable lunch as Starlight Cruise further along the limestone islands of Bai Tu Long Bay, heading to Vung Vieng fishing village – one of the largest fishing villages in Halong Bay to see the life of local fishermen.

  • Option 1: Take a bamboo rowing boat trip around Vung Vieng Fishing Village
  • Option 2: Take kayak and go kayaking by yourself with help and instruction of tour guide around the Village.

17:30 – 18:00 Return to Starlight Cruise and have bath then relax as the sun starts to set.  Enjoy the Happy Hour at the bar and on the sun deck while cooking demonstration is organizing.

19:00 Dinner is served. Socialize with other guests, night squid fishing or just laze around. Singing and dancing activities are available till 22h00.

Overnight on board at Cong Do Area

06:30 – 07:00 Start your day with Tai Chi exercise on the sundeck.

07:00 – 09:00 Catch morning view of seascapes with a cup of tea or coffee, have breakfast while cruising toward Thien Canh Son Cave. Visit Thien Canh Son Cave – the medium size and less visited cave in Bai Tu Long Bay

09:30 Check-out room. Luggage can be delivered to the reception area.

09:30 – 11:00 Head back to the Harbor. Have early lunch on board. Disembark Starlight Cruise at around 12h00.

A 3 hout-drive will take you to Noi Bai airport for your flight to Danang.

On arrival at the airport in Danang, Cattour’s representative will pick you up then take you to hotel in Hoi An for overnight.

 

After breakfast, our guide pick guests up at hotel, take bicycles / or drive along De Vong River to Cam An wharf. Embark on the boat to Cua Dai sand dune, enjoy casting net show and learn how to cast net by local fisher man.

We then continue to Cam Thanh Water coconut village, listen to a brief introduction about the history of the Cam Thanh River, including the role it played during wartime. Take on the basket boat along the water coconut river. Local fishermen will teach you how to catch the crabs then you could  join in our playful basket-boat race against the fishermen.

Embark on the boat, you will learn how to make funny tools by water coconut leaf. Then get on board to Cam An wharf, continue to take a bicycle / or drive to Tra Que village. Have lunch and join in the daily activities with local farmer there.

After lunch with our local cuisine, we get back to Hoi An, an ancient town beside Thu Bon river. You will have a chance to explore the old streets with ancient houses along, the pagodas, temples, assembly halls, ancient tombs. The architecture of Hoi An is characterised by a blend of Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese influences. 

We will then take you back to your hotel in Hoi An.

Breakfast at hotel. The morning is free for your own rexploration of the riverside town.

In the afternoon, our driver will take you to the airport in Danang for your flight to Saigon. On arrival at the airport in Saigon, Cattour’s representative will pick you up then take you to hotel in city center for check in. The rest of the day is free for your own exploration.

After breakfast at hotel, Cattour pick you up then head to visit the Notre Dame Cathedral and the General Post Office. Finally, stop at The Reunification Palace, the base of

Vietnamese General Ngo Dinh Diem until his death in 1963. In 1975, a tank belonging to the North Vietnamese Army crashed through its main gate, ending the Vietnam War.

In the afternoon, we drive to visit Cu Chi Tunnels,which is located 70km from Saigon city. The tunnels was constructed around 1948 to assist Viet Minh in their fight against French occupiers. They offer visitors a sneak-peek at the underground life of Vietnamese soldiers back in 1948. The site has over 120km of underground tunnels, with trapdoors, living areas, kitchens, storage facilities, armoury, hospitals, and command centres. Since 1988, 2 sections of the tunnels are open for visitors to better understand the war in Vietnam.

Get back to Saigon for overnight.

In the morning, Cattour’s representative pick you up at the lobby of your hotel in Saigon and depart for Ben Tre province in Mekong Delta. You will take a 2-hour drive to Hung Vuong Pier. Embark and cruise along Ben Tre river. 

Our first stop is a handicraft workshop to discover how coconut flesh is processed into many different forms and woven into mats with the aid of dried reeds and a huge loom. 

Enjoy some tea in a coconut candies manufacture before taking a walk around the idyllic village. A short bike ride or tuktuk will allow you to explore the countryside and stop to visit a family braiding mats.

Enjoy local specialities for lunch in local restaurant. Then, boarded a rowing boat to join the canal through a maze of arroyos and return to the landing stage.

We then get back to the car and return Saigon city for overnight.

Breakfast at hotel. You are free to relax or go shopping for souvenirs before our driver pick you up then take you to the airport for your departure flight.
