At 08:00am, Cattour pick you up at the lobby of your hotel in Hanoi then follow the road No. 32 along the Red River to Yen Bai province. En-route is a beautiful scenery with orchards of bananas, papayas and rice fields. Arrival at Muong Lo valley, the town of Nghia Lo, also known as the second largest rice field in the Northwest of Vietnam, the home of Thai people.

Breakfast at homestay, we drive on the way through Hoang Lien Son mountain, which has the highest peak of Indochina – Fanxipan, to reach Mu Cang Chai. Our first stop is Tu Le, a hill tribe town of the Thai people living in small wooden houses at the foot of mountains. You will walk through rice terraces to reach Thai and H’mong village to discover their lifestyle.
Leaving Tu Le, we cross Khau Pha Pass (1550 meters). Let’s descend into the heart of the village where you could experience Mong culture, and contact with ethnic minority. Homestay at homestay in Mu Cang Chai.
06:00am, you could wake up early to enjoy the sunrise. Enjoy your breakfast at homestay before transfer to a trekking point. We will start from Ba Nha to Che Cu Nha Commune to Mam Xoi hill, rice terraced fields of H’Mong people) then our driver will take you to La Pan Tan Commune (13km from Che Cu Nha).
Enjoy lunch in a local family.
After lunch, we continue to trek around La Pan Tan, which is recognized as national landscapes by the Ministry of Culture – Sports and Tourism. You could visit the village of H’Mong, play with children and have a friendly talk with local people to explore their culture. We then transfer back to Mu Cang Chai.
Overnight at homestay in Mu Cang Chai
Breakfast with local people. We then transfer back to Hanoi from Mu Cang Chai. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant en-route.
