In the morning, Cattour’s representative will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel in Siem Reap. We will start a day trip with a visit of the South Gate of Angkor Thom. You will be greeted by fascinating giant faces wearing slew of expressions – smiling, serene, serious, angry, scary, etc…. Our next stop is the Bayon Temple, which is built in the late 12th century and the Baphoun Temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, Ta Prohm, the Terrace of Elephants, the Terrace of the Leper King and Phimean Akas known as "Heavenly Palace".
In the afternoon, we will visit "Angkor Wat", the world's largest religious building. Angkor Wat – built by Suryavarman II (r 1112–52) – is the earthly representation of Mt Meru, the Mt Olympus of the Hindu faith and the abode of ancient gods. It now is the heart and soul of Cambodia.
Our day trip will be perfectly wrapped up by a visit to Pre Rub Hill Temple and admire the sunset from the top of the hill.
Our guide and driver then take you back to your hotel in Siem Reap.
Cattour’s services end here.
